Golf in China is a growing sport. There are approximately 180 golf clubs. However, it has not always been as so. In the tenth century, during the Cultural Revolution, the sport was not allowed to be played anywhere in China. It was supposed to be linked to British colonialism and decadent bourgeoisie. Since 1984, though, the sport has been on the rise.
Many Chinese golf courses are for the intermediate and above because there is a speed requirement. If you are not going fast enough, you may be stopped by a marshal. If you are a beginner, a course to try might be Noble Merchants, it is very forgiving.
The Mission Hills Golf Club, near Shenzhen, is the world’s largest golf club, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. It has 216 holes!
Orient (Zhuhai) Golf Club
The Pete Dye Golf Club, in Bridgeport, West Virginia, features a Pete Dye masterpiece golf course. The course first opened for play in 1995. Every hole of the course is unique to this West Virginia club. The scenery surrounding the course is truly a gift to golfers, from Mother Nature. The 35 acres of land was made to be a golf course.

Lee Westwood hooked his drive on the 13th hole into a crowd of folks at the Ritz Charlton Golf Course as a part of the Accenture Match Play Championship.
This is maybe not news but where the ball landed is incredible..... The ball somehow made it's way into a woman's shirt as seen in the video below.
What would have been funnier is if the lady would have taken a run towards the green and dropped the ball there or even dropped it in the hole :)
